Boater’s World Marine Center on Bower Parkway is going out of business.No one from the store or the corporate headquarters would comment other than to say the store’s parent company Ritz Camera has filed for bankruptcy protection.Meanwhile, the store is holding a liquidation sale, and someone who answered the phone there Tuesday said she didn’t know when the last day will be. The Columbia store opened about a decade ago.Outdoor lovers can still get merchandise at Sportsman’s Warehouse, even though that company also has filed for bankruptcy protection.The Piney Grove Road store will remain open. The Utah-based company will close 23 locations throughout the country and sell 15 others to “improve liquidity,” according to its Web site.
